Gerardo Yepis, a.k.a. Acamonchi, has made a heavy impact on art and design over the years. The San Diego-based artist began his career using graffiti and stencil graphics in posters for the blossoming Tijuana music scene. Half-Chinese and Mexican, Gerardo fuses urban sensibilities with poetic colorways, to define a whole new genre of border art “Nortec-style”.
Although the vegan guerrilla artist’s work is now collected by museums internationally, many of his prints and paintings are still accessibly priced for the amature collector. His work is stunning in any decor.
